The Asia Pacific Coatings Show is the leading coatings event in South East Asia and the Pacific Rim for raw materials suppliers and equipment manufacturers for the coatings industry. The 2010 event is moving to a brand new destination, Jakarta in Indonesia.

For the last few years, the Indonesian coatings market has developed nicely along with the economic growth of the country. The market will continue to grow and is supported by many economic indicators. It also has a sound economic foundation under the present government.

The infrastructure projects such as power plants, bridges and the marine sector in Indonesia have contributed to the growth of the market for industrial paints. This is expected to continue as Indonesia spends more on upgrading and building a new infrastructure. Many regions that are doing well due to palm oil, mining businesses and other industries are seeing growth in their infrastructure and this shall contribute to the benefit of the paint industry.

The more mature markets in Asia Pacific have per capita paint consumption of 10kg and above. Indonesia is forecast to be one of the fastest growing paint markets in Asia over the next two to three years and to be the 2nd largest growth market in Asia volume wise.

Following the outstanding success of the Korean Coatings Show 2008, The Coatings Group are delighted to be returning to the same location and venue for 2010, the Seoul Trade Exhibition and Convention Centre.

The 2008 event attracted over 1500 high-calibre visitors from 27 countries, all of whom have purchasing responsibility or influence. They represented both large corporations and the smaller companies looking to expand.

The South Korean economy has shown remarkable growth over the last fifty years, and it is now the 10th largest economy in the world. This strong overall growth has led to sustained increase in the use of coatings in a variety of industrial applications. The four main areas of application are construction, automotive, shipbuilding and specialist electronics, requiring tailor-made products in each area.

The state-of-the-art SETEC (Seoul Trade Exhibition & Convention Centre) proved itself to be an excellent venue, offering potential and existing suppliers to the Korean paint industry a unique opportunity to introduce their company and products or reinforce their brand awareness in the local market.

The Korean Coatings Show 2010 will be officially hosted by KPIC (the Korean Paint & Printing Ink Industry Cooperative) and will feature an exhibition as well as a technical conference overseen by KPIC.
